Broken Bay

A Message from Bishop David Walker

Broken Bay Diocese is pleased to offer the Embrace course to couples preparing for marriage in the diocese. This is one of a number of initiatives to inform Catholics and their families of the magnificent vision for marriage that the Church proposes to its people. Couples are called to be witnesses of Christ’s passionate and urgent desire to be in union with his beloved people. It is my sincere hope that all couples, from those discerning marriage to those married 10, 20 or 50 years, will embrace this vision more fully.

May your journey of love be blessed!

     + Bishop David.

Embrace is offered in the diocese of Broken Bay as parish-based mentoring. Each engaged couple is paired to a trained married couple who facilitates the course over a period of six weeks. The timetable can be flexibly managed to accommodate couples who do not live locally or have restricted availability due to shift work. Embrace is also offered in group formats in some areas.
